Easy Way To Stop Automatic Updates in Windows 7,10

Actually, I am writing this post because I have faced these types of problems. Many times I searched to disable Windows 10 automatic updates and finally I found a way to stop the automatic update. In Windows 7 & 10 you will face many difficulties while disabling automatic updates but here I am giving you a smart way to sort out this problem.

If you are using a different OS then you don’t need to follow the below steps:

How to Permanently Stop Windows 10 Automatic Updates

First Open your PC/laptop and Go to Manage.
Then click on Services and Applications > Services.
Now twice click on Windows Update and you need to Select Properties.
In the General, Tab, Set the Startup type as Disable as shown in the screenshot.

Then Click on the OK button to save the setting.

How to Stop Automatic Updates in Windows 7

First, click on the Window button and Goto Control Panel or search for Window update.
Go to System and Security.

Now go to Windows Update > Select Change Setting.
Finally, Set Never check for updates (not recommended) from the dropdown.

Click on the OK button and settings will be saved.
