Actually, I am writing this post because I have faced these types of problems. Many times I searched to disable Windows 10 automatic updates and finally I found a way to stop the automatic update. In Windows 7 & 10 you will face many difficulties while disabling automatic updates but here I am giving you a smart way to sort out this problem.
If you are using a different OS then you don’t need to follow the below steps:
How to Permanently Stop Windows 10 Automatic Updates
- First Open your PC/laptop and Go to Manage.
- Then click on Services and Applications > Services.
- Now twice click on Windows Update and you need to Select Properties.
- In the General, Tab, Set the Startup type as Disable as shown in the screenshot.
- Then Click on the OK button to save the setting.
How to Stop Automatic Updates in Windows 7
- First, click on the Window button and Goto Control Panel or search for Window update.
- Go to System and Security.
- Now go to Windows Update > Select Change Setting.
- Finally, Set Never check for updates (not recommended) from the dropdown.
- Click on the OK button and settings will be saved.
